We had 8 rigs attend the March Rally at the Barnyard RV Park and Flea Market near Columbia, SC, including new members who were on their way for a long trip out West. The weather was sunny and warm until Sunday when it snowed but most of the group posed outside briefly in the snow for a group picture. The group enjoyed a Saturday breakfast of “omelets in a bag” and a potluck supper in the campground’s meeting room. Our unit president, Terry Montgomery, shared his knowledge about tires with the group. The rally ended on Sunday morning after a church service provided by unit chaplain Paul Welch.
We’re hoping for warm Spring weather in April (7th thru the 9th) for the Spring Fling Rally, our first rally of the season at Palmetto Cove RV Park in Cleveland, SC. Keep in mind that if your health doesn’t allow you to tow your unit at this time, you can always stay in a nearby cabin and join us for the rally events. Solitude Pointe cabins are right up the road.
